Hello Stitch FAQ's
We want you to feel comfortable and confident in class, so we have assigned "expertise" labels to each of our class offerings. Check out the descriptions below and find your best fit!
✂️ - You've seen a sewing machine before, but you've never played with one, or if you have given it a try, you'd really love a little extra help to make sure you're doing it correctly.
✂️✂️ - You have a few projects under your belt. You aready know how to thread and use a sewing machine and you're ready to learn more advanced basics.
✂️✂️✂️ - You've got it down! You've been sewing for awhile and you have a pretty good handle on the basics. You're looking to delve into more advanced techniques and work on advancing your skill set.
We are not able to issue class credit. With enough notice, you can transfer the class to a friend.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR NO-SHOWS.
If a student arrives 15 minutes or more after the start of class, it is at the discretion of the teacher as to whether the student will be admitted. No refunds or studio credit will be given for late arrivals.
If the class is full AND we are able to fill your spot with someone from the waitlist, then we will refund your ticket minus $20 for credit card processing fees. Otherwise, NO REFUNDS.
Please check the supply list that is included in your confirmation email. In some cases, all supplies will be included, other times you will need to bring supplies with you to class.
If taking a class at Bay Quilts, you will need to bring your own tools and equipment to use. The supply list will specify what you will need to bring.
If taking a class at Ace Makerspace, tools are provided. If you reserved a sewing machine with your ticket, one will be available. If you purchased a bring your own machine ticket, then we cannot guarantee a machine will be available if you opt not to bring your own to class.
By taking a class with Hello Stitch you acknowledge the following:

Given enough notice, you can TRANSFER the class to a friend if you are unable to attend.
In the event that a class does not have enough students, it may be canceled. Enrolled students will be notified at least 48 hours prior to the start of the class. In the event of a cancellation by Hello Stitch, students will receive a full refund. If we reschedule the class to another date, students are also entitled to a full refund if unable to attend the new date.
For classes geared towards youth, please refer to individual listings for age requirements.
For classes geared towards adults, youth 14 and up may register at the discretion of the teacher. Often, if the child is on the younger side, an adult will need to accompany student in class and purchase a ticket for both participants. Sorry! Only registered class students may participate during class time for both Online and In Person classes.
