About the Event
Using a scrap of fabric as a “starter”, you will learn how to create a unique, free-motion quilted background, step-by-step. A timid free motion quilter will gain confidence in this class. This is also a great class for students with a little free motion quilting experience who want to learn to combine motifs and discover their own personal style.
Starting with a 4" square of a large-print fabric placed on an 18" square of solid fabric, you will take inspiration from your chosen print and work your way outwards, learning various motifs and fills as you go. Using a camcorder and projector, Jenny will demonstrate various motifs and techniques, that you will be able to see, no matter where you're sitting in the studio!
Come and enjoy the day sewing and practicing a new skill. Hello Stitch will also provide you with a delicious lunch and snacks through-out the day.
