About the Event
Foundation piecing is a truly American technique of quilt-making and artist Julia McLeod will show you step-by-step how to make this classic, New York Beauty block. Using muslin as a base, your block will have added stability and accuracy. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to make beautifully pieced blocks once you have learned this technique!
In this 3-hour class, we will make one New York Beauty block, meaning one quarter circle. The panel provided for this class yields 12 blocks that make up three full circles.
You'll be provided with:
One panel of Benartex's Foundation by the Yard which gives you 3 finished circles. (If you'd like to order more panels, just let us know in the comments and we'll send an invoice for the additional fee.)
A supply list of suggested fabrics, colors and cutting instructions
