Quilting Skill Builder: Bias Tape Appliqué

Join instructor Chelsea Hard to learn techniques to make unique and striking quilts using bias tape applique by machine. We'll use Latifah Saafir's Airshow pattern as the basis for this class (pictured), but you can customize your quilt design to make this and other modern curved designs.

This is a technique based class and although you may not leave the class with a finished project, you will be well on your way!

Skill level: Beginner 102 - You know how to use a sewing machine and have made a project or two in the past.

Supply List: We will provide everything you need for this class except the fabric and thread.

Included in the cost of the class is:

• The Airshow pattern
• 1/2" bias tape maker
• Fabric marker
• Glue stick

About the Instructor:

Chelsea Hard made her first quilt perched on the edge of the couch with her sewing machine on the coffee table. Now practicing better ergonomics, she is an avid quilt maker and enjoys all aspects of sewing by both hand and machine. When not purchasing craft supplies she’ll only use once or actively avoiding organizing her studio, she is the President of the South Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild and an award winning jam maker. Chelsea currently resides in the East Bay with her two sewing machines.
