Longarm Design: Playing with Pantographs

Are you interested in using a longarm quilting machine to finish your quilt tops, but a little intimidated by the design process? With pantograph quilting, you will learn how to follow a pre-printed design to create a beautiful, overall quilt pattern. No drawing or design skills necessary! 

In this class we will cover how to:

- Use a pattern grid to align your pattern

- Properly advance the quilt

- Re-align the pattern after advancement

- Use a laser light

- And lots of other tips and tricks to  help you "drive" the machine from the back while creating a gorgeous pattern on the front

Skill level: While it is helpful if you have some experience on a longarm before taking this class, it is not required. However, in order to rent time on the Innova longarm at Hello Stitch, you will have to take a Longarm Certification class separately.

Supply List: All supplies included. You will be working on a charity quilt for class.

About the instructor: 

Nancy Williams has been sewing for longer than she cares to say - clothing for the kids and grands; a few wedding dresses; some tailoring.  She began piecing quilts about 30 years ago and mostly quilting them on her domestic machine.  After renting time on long arm quilting machines and liking it (a lot), she decided to purchase her own. Since then, she has been honing her art and skills on personal quilts, donation quilts and quilts of those she is honored to be trusted with.

Cancellation Policy:

Class fees are transferable to another class or to studio credit if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before class. If cancellations are made after the 72 hour advance window has passed, we will not be able to issue refunds or studio credits. You can, however transfer the class to a friend.
