Learn to Sew 102: Folded Vinyl Snap Pouch

Learn to sew this sweet, clutch style pouch equipped with multiple clear vinyl slip and zippered pockets. In class you will install a snap, sew with clear vinyl, insert a zipper and customize the pockets in your pouch. Once you’ve made one, you will have the skills to make this pouch in any size and tailor it to fit your needs for cosmetics, art supplies, sewing notions, on-the-go crafting and more! 

Skill you will learn:

• Sewing with vinyl
• Iinstalling a snap
• Installing a zipper
• Hand sewing (for seam closures)

You have a few projects under your belt. You aready know how to thread and use a sewing machine and you're ready to learn more advanced basics.

Supplies: We will supply fusible fleece, vinyl, wondertape and your snap, you will need to bring a zipper and your fabric. A detailed supply list will be emailed upon registration.

About the Instructor: 

Chelsea Hard made her first quilt perched on the edge of the couch with her sewing machine on the coffee table. Now practicing better ergonomics, she is an avid quilt maker and enjoys all aspects of sewing by both hand and machine.  When not purchasing craft supplies she’ll only use once or actively avoiding organizing her studio, she is the President of the South Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild and an award winning jam maker. Chelsea currently resides in the East Bay with her two sewing machines. 

Cancellation Policy:

Class fees are transferable to another class or to studio credit if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before class. If cancellations are made after the 72 hour advance window has passed, we will not be able to issue refunds or studio credits. You can, however transfer the class to a friend. Age Policy:

Youth age 14 and up may register for adult classes. In order to participate in class, all minors will need a signed parental consent form. If you will not be dropping your student off at the first session of class, please contact us and we will email you a form to fill out and send with your child.
