Learn to Sew 102: Dumpling Pouch

Learn to sew this happy, dumpling shaped zippered pouch. In class you will work with foam interfacing, install a zipper & customize the exterior of your pouch with fun fabric accents! Once you’ve made one, you will have the skills to make this same pouch in multiple sizes and will help you build skills to expand into more challenging bag making projects! Use this pouch cosmetics, art supplies, sewing notions, on-the-go crafting and more! 

Skill you will learn:

• Installing a zipper
• Working with foam interfacing and thick layers

*These skills can be expanded to make more complicated bag

Skill level: ✂️✂️ 

You have a few projects under your belt. You aready know how to thread and use a sewing machine and you're ready to learn more advanced basics.

Supplies: We will supply all of your interfacings, you will need to bring a zipper and your fabric. A detailed supply list will be emailed upon registration.

About the Instructor: 

Chelsea Hard made her first quilt perched on the edge of the couch with her sewing machine on the coffee table. Now practicing better ergonomics, she is an avid quilt maker and enjoys all aspects of sewing by both hand and machine.  When not purchasing craft supplies she’ll only use once or actively avoiding organizing her studio, she is the President of the South Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild and an award winning jam maker. Chelsea currently resides in the East Bay with her two sewing machines. 

Cancellation Policy:

Class fees are transferable to another class or to studio credit if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before class. If cancellations are made after the 72 hour advance window has passed, we will not be able to issue refunds or studio credits. You can, however transfer the class to a friend. Age Policy:

Youth age 14 and up may register for adult classes. In order to participate in class, all minors will need a signed parental consent form. If you will not be dropping your student off at the first session of class, please contact us and we will email you a form to fill out and send with your child.
