Does creating color transparency throw you for a loop? Are you intimidated by curves but love precision piecing? The Cool as a Cactus quilt, featuring pieced curves, a unique border treatment, and color palette that features transparency is a great place to learn how to tackle these techniques.

Class will begin with an exercise in creating transparency effects, and a guided shopping excursion. You will then plan a color palette for your quilt that includes a transparency effect.

We work from paper templates to accurately cut and piece large diameter curves. Learn to cut and precisely piece large-diameter curves from templates and assemble a quilt top with pieced borders.

Leave class with at least one block and border complete.
