About the Event
Learn to free-motion quilt with hands-on, encouraging and personalized instruction. You CAN quilt your own quilts on your home machine with very little marking and no stencils. We’ll start on paper and make lots of mistakes there, then we’ll play on fabric samples with confidence! Jenny will use her projector to show what she is doing so that you can see exactly how she quilts.
Look at the class sample online to see all the motifs we will work on in class. This really is easier than you think!
Come and enjoy the day sewing and practicing a new skill. Hello Stitch will also provide you with a delicious lunch and snacks through-out the day.

You have a few projects under your belt. You aready know how to thread and use a sewing machine and you're ready to learn more advanced basics.
About the Instructor:
Jenny K Lyon is a fiber artist, author and teacher from northern California. Her work focuses on free motion quilting on whole cloth and has been juried into the Houston Int’l Quilt Festival, AQS in Paducah, Pacific International Quilt Festival, the Curitiba Quilt Show (Brazil) and numerous juried art shows. She enjoys traveling to teach and lecture on free motion quilting at major shows as well as guilds and shops across the country.
She has appeared on Quilting Arts TV as well as The Quilt Show (Feb, 2019). She is passionate about free motion quilting and authored a book designed to encourage experienced beginners, Free Motion Quilting, Ordinary to Extraordinary. She loves to inspire her students to free motion quilt their own quilts! Her website is quiltskipper.com.
*Due to the special nature of this workshop, this is a non-refundable class. However, if you are unable to make the class, you can transfer it to a friend!
Age Policy:
Youth age 14 and up may register for adult classes. In order to participate in class, all minors will need a signed parental consent form. If you will not be dropping your student off at the first session of class, please contact us and we will email you a form to fill out and send with your child.
