Transform inspiration into fabric with a dynamic, improvisational approach. In this workshop, images and ideas around an inspiration are used to create a storyboard that sparks your creativity—it can include photos, sketches or personal memories. Through a flexible, step-by-step process, you’ll learn how to extract key elements from your inspiration and translate them into an abstract quilt design that evolves on the design wall.
This workshop is perfect for quilters of all levels who want to embrace abstraction and improvisation while working within a thoughtful design framework. Please note: Most class time will focus on design exploration rather than construction. It is unlikely that you will finish a quilt in class.
