Sew Your Own Capsule Wardrobe

**This is a 2 session class Nov. 2 & 9, 10am - 4pm and is bundled with a 1 month membership**

The great thing about sewing is that once you find a pattern that works for you, you can make one in every color and in all of your favorite fabrics! Join us to start building your own handmade wardrobe and learn expert tips and tricks from our sewing instructor Beth Galvin. 

In this 2 session class, we will work with 2 patterns from the Closet Case Patterns: Rome Collection, the Cielo Top and the Pietra Pants. We love the interesting style lines of the Cielo Top and the easy, breezy wearability of the pants. With the class, you will also get a one month membership* to Hello Stitch, which includes access to the studio Wednesday - Sunday, 10am - 8pm as well as on Member's Only Tuesdays from 12-8.

Class 1: Make the Cielo Top

November 2, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Learn how to:

• Measure yourself and choose the correct pattern size
• Make a bust adjustment as needed
• Sew darts

Class 2: Make the Pietra Pants

November 9, 10:00 am -4:00 pm 

Learn how to:

• Make simple pattern adjustments
• How to find the perfect fit
• How to sew a smooth elastic waist
• How to use interfacing
• How to machine finish seams and facings

Skill level: Beginner (102) - You know how to use a sewing machine and have completed a couple of projects. More expereinced sewists will be able to focus more on fit or working with trickier fabrics.

Supply List: The Cielo Top and Pietra Pants patterns are not included in the cost of this class and will need to be purchased separately. We will send you a complete supply list, including fabric recommendations once you've registered for class. The Closet Case patterns go up to a size 20. If a larger size is needed, Beth will help you to alter the top to fit and suggests the Flint Pants by Megan Nielsen as a replacement for the Pietra.

You may not finish your project during class time, but don’t fret! Included with this class, you also get a Hello Stitch membership that can be used any time we are open, Wednesday - Sunday, 10am - 8pm as well as on Member's Only Tuesdays from 12-8. Memberships are valid from the date the class starts and for one month after the date of your last class.

About the instructor: 

Beth Galvin started sewing at age 7 and can sew everything from casual knit tops to tailored jackets to over the top party dresses. She has a popular sewing blog, Sunnygal Studio where she shares her tips and tricks and she also blogs for Craftsy. Beth loves to help people get the pattern they love to fit the way they want. She is brilliant at adding stylish little details that make your projects look professional and special, but what's even better is that she has figured out how to make it easier! One of her favorite things is to teach you the tips and shortcuts that will make your sewing faster and also more fun.
