Pattern Fitting - Adjust the Bust

Big or small, high or low, most of us need to adjust the bust on sewing patterns. This class will be a workshop-style class including both demonstration and hands-on practice using pattern samples so that you can get familiar with doing adjustments.

During the 3 hour Adjust the Bust Workshop, Beth will show you how to do a variety of bust adjustments on a sample pattern (provided), which you can take home for future reference. On your sample pattern, you will learn how to:

- Adjust the bust on a variety of styles

- Do a full bust adjustment

- Do a small bust adjustment

- Adjust princess seams

- Raise and lower bust darts

- Add darts to achieve a better fit

This class has 3 hours of instruction followed by an optional 2 hour Fit Lab. This is a pattern alteration class and will not involve using a sewing machine.

For the optional, 2 hour Fit Lab part of the class, bring your own pattern to learn how to do your bust adjustment with Beth.

Class will be from 10am - 1pm

Fit Lab (optional) will be from 2pm - 4pm

Skill level: Advanced beginner - Intermediate

Supplies: All supplies are included (for Fit Lab, bring your own pattern)

About the instructor:

Beth Galvin started sewing at age 7 and can sew everything from casual knit tops to tailored jackets to over the top party dresses.
