Camp Stitch ONLINE: Yarn Maker Mania!

July 13-17, 10am - 12pm (meets daily)

Have fun crafting during Summer Break with Hello Stitch!  Are you ready for some interactive activities?  We have created a crafty curriculum full of activities for your kid to do at home with the help of live, online instruction with our camp counselor. We promote a supportive, encouraging and stress-free atmosphere for exploring adventures with YARN!

Here's how it works: The week before camp starts, you will be able to pick up your camp kit at Hello Stitch* on Tuesday or Thursday between 11am and 3pm or on Sunday, July 12 between 10am and 12pm. This kit will be filled with everything your kid will need to stay creativly engaged at home.  Not close to the studio? We can ship the kit straight to your door.  And then, every morning during your camp week, your child will meet up with the online instructor and other campers to learn a new, fun craft.

Some of the activities that your camper can expect are:

• Applique a Hello Stitch tote bag
• Learn the basics of weaving and make a woven coaster
• Learn how to create pompoms and tassels
• Make a wrapped rope bowl
• Create a sculpture or god’s eye with yarn and sticks

Supplies include reusable cotton tote bag, two pompom makers, 5 full size skeins of yarn, cardboard loom, premium scissors and much more.  With their new skills, kids will be entertained for hours after the class is completed.

*If you prefer to have your kit mailed directly to your home, just let us know when you register and we will send over a separate invoice for the cost of shipping. 

Each session will be recorded for reference to be shared only with those in your session. You will receive a link to each day's session at the end of the day.

About the Instructor:

Kristen Takakuwa learned to sew at the young age of 8 and sewing has been a lifelong habit ever since.  She has been teaching sewing to adults and kids for the last 10 years, and loves nothing more than sharing skills and enthusiasm for sewing with others.  Originally a garment sewist, she expanded her repertoire to include quilting as well.  When she’s not in the sewing studio, you can find her driving carpools, playing with food and talking to cats.  Find her on Instagram at @mamacatquilts.

Cancellation Policy:

Class fees are transferable to another class or to studio credit if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before class. If cancellations are made after the 72 hour advance window has passed, we will not be able to issue refunds or studio credits. You can, however transfer the class to a friend. Supply kit fee of $55 and any shipping fees are non-refundable.

No refunds or studio credit will be given for no-shows.
