ONLINE: Pattern Fitting - Adjust the Bust

Big or small, high or low, most of us need to adjust the bust on sewing patterns. This class will be a workshop-style class including both demonstration and hands-on practice using pattern samples so that you can get familiar with doing adjustments. 

During this workshop, garment sewing exper, Beth Galvin, will show you how to do a variety of bust adjustments on a sample pattern (you will need to be able to print this prior to class). 

On your sample pattern, you will learn how to:

• Adjust the bust on a variety of styles
• Raise and lower bust darts
• Do a full bust adjustment 
• Do a small bust adjustment
• Adjust princess seams
• Add darts to achieve a better fit

This is a pattern alteration class and you will not be sewing in class

You have a few projects under your belt. You aready know how to thread and use a sewing machine and you're ready to learn more advanced basics.

Supplies: You will need to be able to print out sample patterns on 8.5 x 11 paper prior to class.

About the instructor: 

Beth Galvin started sewing at age 7 and can sew everything from casual knit tops to tailored jackets to over the top party dresses. Cancellation Policy:

Class fees are transferable to another class or to studio credit if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before class. If cancellations are made after the 72 hour advance window has passed, we will not be able to issue refunds or studio credits. You can, however transfer the class to a friend. No refunds or studio credit will be given for late arrivals or no-shows.
