Holiday Fun Series!

Our Holiday Fun Series is designed to be both sewing and social. The projects are straightforward and can be completed while you enjoy an evening chatting with friends and sipping your favorite beverage. In October, Liat Rorer will teach you how to make placemats.

Wow your guests! Protect your fancy table! Up your table setting by making placemats. Because you are making them, you get to pick exactly the fabric you like to create your own look. We'll complete one at least one placemat. Keep it or gift it.

The great thing with placemats is that they are really small quilts so not only will you make a placemat you'll also leave class with the skills to finish a quilt. If you are comfortable creating a very small (12" x 18" quilt) you can use that for your placemat.

You have a few projects under your belt. You aready know how to thread and use a sewing machine and you're ready to play with the basics. This is a beginner friendly class.

About the instructor: 

Liat Rorer was forced to learn to sew in Home Economics class, and she found it about as appealing as the creamed chipped beef on toast she had to cook. Years later, when she began to sew on her own, she found a passion that combined her creative, analytic and practical sides. We joke that her quilts are huge because she just can’t stop herself. When she’s not in the studio, she might be in her kitchen making something other than creamed chipped beef.

Please select your class carefully, we will not be able to issue refunds for online classes. You can, however transfer the class to a friend. No refunds will be given for late arrivals or no-shows.
