The Lone Robin with Julia McLeod

About the Event

Class meets monthly on the 4th Sunday

Class will be held from 10AM -  11:30AM Pacific Time

April 23, May 28, June 25, July 23, August 27, September 24

It's not too late to join the the next round of Julia McLeod's Lone Robin workshop at Hello Stitch! We record every class so you can watch the first class and still have plenty of time to sew.

The Lone Robin is an exciting journey in which you build your own quilt, month by month. Part mystery quilt, part creative challenge, you make each round in response to Julia's inspiring prompt of the month. You create each round in response to the prompt, with no knowledge of what might follow. There is no plan, no pattern and no expectation of how this quilt will look when it’s finished.

And this time, it's Fully Loaded!! In addition to the monthly prompt and lesson, Julia will demonstrate techniques, tools and gadgets that address that month's prompt, elevating your skills and making execution easier. After you've seen the tools and gadgets demonstrated, you decide whether you are interested in acquiring them. There is no requirement to buy any new equipment - it’s purely optional and you'll know how to do it without specialized tools.

This inclusive class is for quilt-makers of all types; from beginners to seasoned quilters. Your quilt style can be a traditional-, modern- or art quilt. You choose the size and color palette. You can make anything from a table mat to a king size quilt. The Lone Robin is a welcoming class that aims to build creativity and community!

Each class starts with check in, showing your work and sharing your process is an important part of this course. Receiving constructive feedback from the group is encouraging and affirming, and seeing the work of other participants motivates and inspires you as you approach each round. To give you an interactive experience, we've created an online group through the Hello Stitch website for you to share your progress, connect with each other, and get content or re-watch video of the class. Meetings will be recorded so you can revisit techniques taught, or catch up if you miss a meeting. (Recordings will be available for one month after the last class.)
