ONLINE: Sew the Myosotis Dress with the Hello Stitch Garment Sewing Club and Beth Galvin - March

Looking to build your skills and make new sewing friends? Join the Hello Stitch Garment Sewing Club! It's always more fun to sew together. This online class is part formal class instruction from our expert garment instructor, Beth Galvin, and part sewing social time sprinkled with helpful hints, tips, and (virtual) helping hands.

We think the Myosotis Dress by Deer & Doe is gorgeous and we love how it looks great on every figure. Want proof? You can see it on every type of figure on instagram: #DDMyosotis. You could even wear it with flowy pants for a boho look. You're going to look sooo cute!

During this month's meetups, you will learn how to:

• Make a properly fitted bodice
• Sew a set in sleeve
• Make beautiful, even ruffles
• Sew a placket
• Put in buttonholes
• As well as how to "hack" the pattern to make it just the way you want it!

The Garment Sew Club meets each Tuesday when Beth will introduce a new topic or skill that will be related to the project. Then meet up again on Thursdays for Social Sewing.

You have a few projects under your belt. You aready know how to thread and use a sewing machine and you're ready to learn more advanced basics.

Supplies: 

You will need to purchase the Myosotis Dress pattern, but don't need to have it at the first meetup. (And if you have a similar type of shirt dress you would like to make, you could use that pattern instead!) So that you can be sure to get your pattern in time, we recommend purchasing your pattern digitally. If you've never done a PDF pattern before, we have a great tutorial on our blog. About the instructor: 

Beth Galvin started sewing at age 7 and can sew everything from casual knit tops to tailored jackets to over the top party dresses. She has a popular sewing blog, Sunnygal Studio where she shares her tips and tricks and she also blogs for Craftsy. Beth loves to help people get the pattern they love to fit the way they want. She is brilliant at adding stylish little details that make your projects look professional and special, but what's even better is that she has figured out how to make it easier! One of her favorite things is to teach you the tips and shortcuts that will make your sewing faster and also more fun. Cancellation Policy:

Class fees are transferable to another class or to studio credit if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before class. If cancellations are made after the 72 hour advance window has passed, we will not be able to issue refunds or studio credits. You can, however transfer the class to a friend. No refunds or studio credit will be given for late arrivals or no-shows.
