Make the Tamarack Jacket

Quilting + Garment Sewing?!!! We're in HEAVEN! Learn how to make a soft and comfy quilted jacket in this 2 session class. The Tamarack jacket by Grainline Studio is a fun canvas for you to explore your personal style. See how other people have made it their own by checking out #tamaracksociety.

This is a 2 session class, Saturday, October 12 & 19, 2pm - 6pm

This class comes with free lab time until 8pm the day of your class so that you can stay and work on your pattern with the help of Hello Stitch Staff.

In this class we will cover:

- Take personal measurements and choose your pattern size

- Cutting fabric and marking your pattern pieces

- How to sew welt pockets

- Make and apply bias binding

- How to add snaps

- Seam finishing for jacket interior

Skill level: Intermediate (201) - You have a couple of small projects under your belt. You already know how to thread and use a sewing machine and you're ready to learn more advanced basics, like how to do a buttonhole or insert a zipper.You've been sewing for awhile and you have a pretty good handle on the basics. You're looking to delve into more advanced techniques like proper fitting or curved piecing.

Supply List: Will be sent upon registration. Class price does not include the Tamarack jacket pattern.

About the instructor: 

Beth Galvin started sewing at age 7 and can sew everything from casual knit tops to tailored jackets to over the top party dresses. She has a popular sewing blog, Sunnygal Studio where she shares her tips and tricks and she also blogs for Craftsy. Beth loves to help people get the pattern they love to fit the way they want. She is brilliant at adding stylish little details that make your projects look professional and special, but what's even better is that she has figured out how to make it easier! One of her favorite things is to teach you the tips and shortcuts that will make your sewing faster and also more fun.
