Learn to Sew: Adult Pajama Pants

**This class consists of two sessions: Wednesdays, May 22 & 28, 6pm - 9pm**

Our camp kids already know the secret to learning how to sew is PAJAMA PANTS and now we're finally offering it as a class for adults! There is no better way to learn how to sew than by making yourself a pair of comfy and cute pj pants. If you make a little mistake who's going to see it other than your nearest and dearest and they'll just think you're fabulous for making such awesome pjs!

Take the pressure off and learn how lovely sewing your own clothes can be. Start simple - end successful!

This class will cover:

• How to use a sewing machine
• Choosing your correct pattern size
• How to read a pattern and make adjustments
• How to cut and mark the fabric
• How to properly sew and finish your pj pants

Skill level: Beginner (101)

Supplies: The pattern and waist elastic will be included with your class, but you will need to purchase fabric separately. A supply list will be emailed upon registration.

About the instructor:

Julia Lichtenstein first fell in love with design when she started attending a sewing camp in 2nd grade and has been sewing and designing ever since. She grew up in Eugene Oregon and moved to New York City to study Fashion Design at Pratt Institute. After spending 16 years in NYC designing for some well known fashion companies and everything from women's couture to activewear to menswear, she made her way back to the west coast to design girls clothes for Gymboree. Sewing and Fashion are her favorite things and she's excited to share her expertise and passion.
