Learn to Sew 102: The Knot Bag

Join instructor Valerie Gibbins to make the Japanese Knot Bag by Indigobird Designs. These reversible bags are perfect for on-the-go projects! While constructing your bag, you will learn advanced techniques that can be applied to garment sewing and future bag-making endeavors. This class will focus on an advanced technique for inserting a lining without turning under the edges, a method that can be applied to any lined sleeveless garment

We will make one small version of the bag in class; the pattern includes 3 sizes for your future use. Make one for yourself in class and then make one for each of your friends!

This class will cover:

• Understanding how to use a basic pattern

• How to cut and mark the fabric 

• Fabric management and working with curved seams
