Have you ever wanted to try quilting your own quilt with a longarm quilting machine? We would love to show you how easy and fun it is! If you can doodle, you can free-motion quilt with our Innova longarm. Equipped with a Lightning Stitch Regulator, which makes every stitch you take look perfect, and a hydraulic lift table to make standing at the machine ergonomically correct for almost any height, you will be amazed at how simple it can be to get great results.
This class will cover all the basics of longarm machine quilting including preparing the quilt, loading the quilt on the frame, free-motion longarm quilting techniques, and maintenance of machine. Muslin will be provided for hands-on practice during class.
In addition, you will receive two free hours of longarm rental practice to be scheduled after your class. Please plan on completing your free practice within two weeks of class completion. Once you have the approval of Hello Stitch Staff, your certification will be good for 6 months. As long as you rent the longarm machine for 2 hours every six months, your certification will remain current.
*This class is a requirement if you want to rent the Innova longarm machine at Hello Stitch Studio. Longarm rental is $25 per hour with a minimum of two hours. (Members of Hello Stitch get a $5 discount off the hourly rate.) Longarm rental requires certification and the separate purchase of our $20 longarm kit consisting of a zipper leader which will enable you to prep your quilt at home for super fast quilt loading during your machine rental time.

We strongly recommend you take one of our Longarm Continuing Education classes after your certification class. We currently offer both a Learn to Pantograph class and a Free-Motion Design class. The Learn to Pantograph class in particular is an excellent and easy way to gain confidence and requires no drawing or design skills!
About the instructor:
Nancy Williams has been sewing for longer than she cares to say - clothing for the kids and grands; a few wedding dresses; some tailoring. She began piecing quilts about 30 years ago and mostly quilting them on her domestic machine. After renting time on long arm quilting machines and liking it (a lot), she decided to purchase her own. Since then, she has been honing her art and skills on personal quilts, donation quilts and quilts of those she is honored to be trusted with.
If you fall in love with this machine like we have and need to have one in your own home, come chat with us! We're Innova representatives and would love to help you make the dream of owning your own Innova a reality!
