IN PERSON: Inspired - An Artist Reception with Liat Rorer

The dictionary tells us that Inspiration is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative. In 2017, when Liat retired for the second time, she felt inspired to take a quilting class at Hello Stitch Studio. She was immediately addicted, funneling her energy and creativity into learning and doing everything quilting. She found a welcoming community and was inspired by many of the quilters in the studio as well the teachers she worked with including Tara Faughnan, Denyse Schmidt, Pati Fried, Maria Shell, Stacey Sharman, Margaret Glendening, Regina Stadnik and the women in her Quilting in a Series Group among others. This show represents some of the quilts inspired by wonderful women.
