IN PERSON: Sunday, October 20, 10AM - 2PM
This class will be held at Bay Quilts
With the right fabrics, an improvisational stained glass quilt practically glows.
It sounds simple, take some scraps, fat quarters or yardage, cut out triangles, rectangles, or other shapes, of various sizes, and sew them together with narrow strips of contrasting fabric. Trim them into blocks of the same size, or not. Turns out that it’s harder than it looks to sew all these random shapes together, but Claire makes it easy with her encouragement, and tricks of the trade.
This class is great for learning to design your quilt as you go and developing your improvisational thinking.
This is a technique class versus a product class meaning you'll learn a new skill and will have lots of time to practice rather than completing a quilt top.
