About the Event

IN PERSON: Sunday, October 2, 10AM - 2PM

Create a one of a kind garden fabric collage using your favorite fabrics (and we'll bring some to share!). Pati will lead you through a fun process with lots of hands-on advice, filled with valuable tips to build a successful composition.

You will spend most of the class exploring the options, building and assembling your fabric collage. To finish your beautiful garden, Pati will demonstrate her favorite style of free-motion quilting that will quickly add lots of personality to your garden.

You will also be given access to a video tutorial to this freestyle method of raw-edge applique that will open up a whole new playground for you to explore! Depending on how quickly you complete your composition, you may have time to practice in class.

How will your garden grow?

Skill level: ✂️

This class is open to every skill level.

Supplies: You will receive the supply list once you sign up. You will need access to a sewing machine to finish your art piece.

About the instructor:

Pati Fried studied graphic design in college, but always found herself lingering in the textile department. After graduating and working in corporate marketing for several years, she finally discovered quilting and was hooked. Mixing pattern, color and texture is a perfect fit for her, both as a quilter and a designer. She is a fabric and pattern designer, a popular quilt blogger for See How We Sew, and her work has been featured in quilting magazines.
