In this class we'll use fabric strips of varying widths to create striped blocks.
- With the first technique we'll aim for straight stripes: you'll get crisp, precise results.
- In the second technique, you'll use Julia's technique of exploiting the bias to create curved, organic lines. This isn't your ordinary curved piecing!
There's something for everyone - Like everything to be exact? You'll enjoy improving your precision with the straight stripes and you'll stretch yourself with curved lines. Love the energy that comes from something that somewhat unpredictable? You'll cotton to the curved stripes and perhaps come to love how easy it is achieve the straight lines of the first technique.
Use scraps from upcycled clothing, neckties or from your scrap bag. You decide the dimensions of the blocks you'll make.
You'll complete the class with two new techniques under your belt, and a handful of blocks to start a quilt or to use in a smaller project.
