Garment Sewing: Make the Bondi Dress

The Bondi Dress by Tessuti will become your next wardrobe staple! We have taken all of the guess-work out of picking the pattern size as we will have already sewn-up samples available in the studio for you to try on and choose your best fit. Once you have chosen your size, you will be able to trace off the pattern here in the studio. No need to print and tape together a tedious PDF pattern at home. Remember - one of the greatest benefits of learning to sew is that you can change elements of the garment. Don't love the neckline? Want a longer, or shorter hem? Beth can help you change it!

Skill level: Confident Beginner. You will need to know the basics of using a sewing machine before you take this class. If you'd like a refresher, check out our Learn to Sew classes!

Supplies:  The Bondi Dress pattern by Tessuti is included with this class. Come in to Hello Stitch to try on the samples and pick your size, then copy off your pattern from our pre-printed original. The cost of the pattern is included with the class fee.* 

About the instructor: 

Beth Galvin started sewing at age 7 and can sew everything from casual knit tops to tailored jackets to over the top party dresses. She has a popular sewing blog, Sunnygal Studio where she shares her tips and tricks and she also blogs for Craftsy. Beth loves to help people get the pattern they love to fit the way they want. She is brilliant at adding stylish little details that make your projects look professional and special, but what's even better is that she has figured out how to make it easier! One of her favorite things is to teach you the tips and shortcuts that will make your sewing faster and also more fun. Sign up for one of Beth's classes and let her teach you how satisfying it can be to sew great clothes that make you look great!

This class comes with free lab time after class so that you can stay and work on your garment with the help of Hello Stitch Staff until 8pm.
