About the Event
Learn to sew this summer at Camp Stitch! Continue building on skills learned from a previous session, or just jump right in as we teach campers everything they'll need to know to make their very own foundation-pieced string quilt. At Hello Stitch, we provide a supportive, fun, and stress-free atmosphere for exploring adventures in sewing. Just like learning to ride a bike, learning to sew is a life skill your camper will never forget.
During camp, students will learn everything they need to know to make a beautiful quilt! Using a versatile and fun foundation pieced block, we will cover all of the quilt making basics including how to use a sewing machine, accurate piecing skills, design layout, basting, quilting and binding a quilt. Students will leave camp with a handmade quilt and the confidence to take on more complicated patterns and techniques.
