Camp Stitch Summer Sewing Camp, Make Your Own Leggings or Joggers | July 30-August 3

Take your sewing skills to the next level this summer at Camp Stitch! 

This session is geared towards our returning students and campers with previous sewing experience. During camp, students will use their own body measurements to create their own pattern for leggings or sweat pants. We will learn how to work with knit fabrics using both a regular sewing machine and a serger sewing machine as well as have time for independent sewing practice. 

Led by Kristen Takakuwa, who has been teaching sewing to kids and adults for over 8 years, we provide a supportive, fun, and stress-free atmosphere for exploring adventures in sewing.  Just like learning to ride a bike, learning to sew is a life skill your camper will never forget.

At Hello Stitch, campers will have access to our sewing machines and tools. We will also provide all supplies needed for the camp projects. All your camper has to do is show up, be ready to learn and have fun! Independence in sewing can open the door to endless creative opportunities for your camper.

This camp is available to kids age 8 to 14.

Aftercare: We have partnered with our neighbor, Sticky Art Lab who can provide aftercare. Please contact us if you are interested and we will help you set that up!

About the Instructor:

Kristen Takakuwa learned to sew at the young age of 8 and sewing has been a lifelong habit ever since. She has been teaching sewing to adults and kids for the last 10 years, and loves nothing more than sharing skills and enthusiasm for sewing with others. Originally a garment sewist, she expanded her repertoire to include quilting as well. When she’s not in the sewing studio, you can find her driving carpools, playing with food and talking to cats. Camp Cancellation Policy

- Cancellation 14 days or more before the event = 90% refund of the total balance.

- Cancellation 8-13 days before the event = 50% refund of the total balance.

- Cancellation less than 8 days before the event = 0% refund of the total balance.

- NO REFUNDS ARE ISSUED DUE TO CAMPER ABSENCES, INCLUDING ABSENCES DUE TO ILLNESS.

We understand that sometimes life is unpredictable! If your child cannot attend camp, but has a friend that would like to take their place, contact us to see if they are applicable for a transfer.
