Cool Tools at Hello Stitch - Oliso Irons
I've been wanting to start a series of posts about the cool tools at Hello Stitch and the new Oliso TG1600 Pro Smart Iron has gotten me off my butt to get started. If you spend time in the studio, you've probably heard me poo-pooing fancy irons and bragging about the fact that I still use the iron I bought in the 80s (no don't do the math, I'm old). I think I'll be eating a little crow and putting this on my Christmas list.

What's so cool about the Oliso irons?
When you are done ironing you just slide the iron to the side and it magically pops up on a little stand. No more setting it awkwardly on its end.
It holds a ton of water so you aren't making lots of trips to get water to fill it up. And, it's got a super-accessible place to pour the water in, hopefully eliminating those embarrassing spills on the ironing board.
There are boatloads of settings so you can get it just how you like it. In my case, hot and steamy. (Some of the garment sewers seem to like it cool and dry, who am I to judge.)
There is a little groove near the tip that lets you do detail ironing. I haven't used it yet but it looks neat.
The best thing - this iron gives you a chance to give attitude.
Come by the studio and give these irons a try. You'll all of a sudden realize how fun it is to iron!
