Sew the Linden Sweatshirt

**This is a 2 session class: Sundays, Feb 23 & March 1 from 10am - 1pm**

Feeling that spring chill in the air? Why not warm up with your very own Linden Sweatshirt! Come sew this simple long-sleeve sweatshirt by Grainline Studios and learn knit garment techniques!

This class will cover:

• How to choose the right fabric for your project
• Fitting a pattern to your body
• Sewing with knits on a standard domestic sewing machine
• Techniques for creating beautifully finished knit garments

Skill level: ✂️✂️

You have a few projects under your belt. You aready know how to thread and use a sewing machine and you're ready to learn more advanced basics.

Supplies: You will need to purchase the Linden Sweatshirt pattern and fabric before class. More details in the supply list you'll receive upon registration.

About the instructor: 

Valerie Gibbins is a native of Oakland and a lifelong sewist. She recently moved back to the Bay Area after attending graduate school in Philadelphia and working as a Textile Designer in North Carolina. Her obsession with fabric and passion for creating with her hands has provided her with knowledge in multiple areas of design: apparel, textiles, and accessories. In addition to her design knowledge, Valerie brings her teaching experience to Hello Stitch, where she hopes to encourage confidence in everyone's creative abilities. 

Cancellation Policy:

Class fees are transferable to another class or to studio credit if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before class. If cancellations are made after the 72 hour advance window has passed, we will not be able to issue refunds or studio credits. You can, however transfer the class to a friend. Age Policy:

Youth age 14 and up may register for adult classes. In order to participate in class, all minors will need a signed parental consent form. If you will not be dropping your student off at the first session of class, please contact us and we will email you a form to fill out and send with your child.
